Colombo - City Tour
Arriving at COLOMBO, the capital of the island, also called “The Pearl of the Indian Ocean”, pick up at the airport. After a short break at the hotel we will explore Colombo with a lot of beautiful sights, we will visit Buddhist Temple, Independence Square and Parliament of Sri Lanka. Transfer to Dambulla.

Sigiriya with Royal Palace at the Top - Dambulla
Visit to the rock formation of Lion Rock – Sigiriya (UNESCO) with the ruins of the royal palace at the top is the most attractive experience for all tourists coming to Sri Lanka. The fortress in the clouds was built in the 5th century and you can see amazing frescoes on the walls of ancient caves during the way to the top. There is a complex of gardens, water reservoirs and fountains at the foot of the hill.
Visit to Dambulla, a cave Buddhist temple (UNESCO) with beautiful sculptures and ceiling paintings. You will find more than a hundred Buddha statues in different poses in the cave temples. Wall paintings with Buddhist motifs are also unique.

The royal city of Polonnaruwa - Trincomalee
Tour of the famous city Polonnaruwa, the former second capital of Sri Lanka famous for temples and palaces, it was built in the 11th and 12th centuries and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982. We can find the ruins of the royal palace, the royal bath, the citadel and the world-famous Buddha statues carved into the rocks in the Gal Vihara shrine here.
Trincomalee was one of the largest and most important ports of ancient Sri Lanka in the past. Trincomalee, known as Gokanna or Gokarna in historical chronicles, is rich for the ruins of ancient Buddhist temples and is significant Buddhist cultural and archaeological site of Sri Lanka. There are beautiful sandy beaches.

Trincomalee - Sailing to Pidgeon Island - Hindu Temple - Fort Fredrick
We will visit the Hindu temple of Kali Kovil which has the most impressive eye-catching gopuram (main entrance), decorated with statues of Hindu gods.
Trincomalee hot water wells attract tourists all year round, due to the water’s therapeutic properties and different water temperatures from one well.
Fort Fredrick is a fortress built by the Portuguese and was completed in 1624. It stands on the site of Swami Rock-Konamamalai and was built on the ruins of the world-famous ancient Hindu temple of Konwarwar (Temple of the Thousand Pillars). The temple was destroyed by Portuguese colonists.
Pidgeon Island – The National Park owes its name to Blue Rock Pigeon, the endangered species of birds that nest here. Already in 1963 the islands were declared a bird sanctuary and in 2003 they turned into a national park. The larger island is surrounded by a relatively well preserved coral reef. We can admire ornamental fish and turtles in their own environment.

Kandy - Temple of the Buddha's Tooth - folklore dances
Kandy – tour around the lake, marketplace and Temple of Buddha’s tooth. Kandy is UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is located in the picturesque mountainous region of Sri Lanka, surrounded mainly by tea plantations. The city is one of the most sacred places in Sri Lanka and was the last capital of Sinhalese kings. The Temple of Buddha’s Tooth retains a relic, it is a prominent Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka.
We will enjoy the cultural performance of the dancers from Kandy in the evening.

Botanical Garden - Tea Plantation - Tea Factory
Royal Botanic Garden Peradeniya – is situated on 147 acres of land. The Botanical Garden was built in 1374 as a relaxing garden for kings from Gampola and Kandy. You can find here more than 4000 species of trees, flowers, plants and five palm streets that were planted in 1905.
Tea plantations where the original Ceylon tea is grown, visit to a tea factory, picturesque tea landscape scenery, mountain massifs and an unmistakable tea scent.
We will see the beautiful wild Devon Falls and St Clairs Falls.
